Great Is Thy Faithfulness Giving Day Recap

Back in February our hopes of holding our spring auction gala sadly evaporated due to COVID-19 restrictions. Our Eastern Christian School faculty and staff had been creatively and sacrificially rising to the challenge of safely educating our kids in the pandemic, and now it was the Foundation staff’s turn to prayerfully ask God how we could work hard to raise the funding needed for our school even in a pandemic. 

“Because of the Lord’s great love we are not consumed, for His compassions never fail. They are new every morning; great is your faithfulness.” Lamentations 3:22-23

Our God provided abundantly more than we could have asked or imagined!

We launched our Great Is Thy Faithfulness Campaign, first asking our faithful business supporters to give to our mission as they would to our auction. They stepped up for Eastern Christian School and gave even more than their usual support. We asked our families to come together with a spirit of thanksgiving to our great God for bringing us through this challenging year with His protection and blessing, and on June 3rd, the Eastern Christian School community celebrated God’s faithfulness with an extraordinary outpouring of generosity! Our fundraising goal in light of the cancelled auction was $100,000 and we had exceeded that goal by 11:30am on Giving Day! One hundred and ninety-seven donors in our community came together to give $174,089 to ensure that every child receives an excellent, Christ-centered education! 

The Lord has made Eastern Christian School a light to nurture our kids in the knowledge of Him, and empowers them to be a light to the world around them. On behalf of Eastern Christian School, we want to give thanks to all of our supporters and families for selflessly and willingly following His call to keep this light shining!
