Restricted State Travel Protocol Reminder

With a four day weekend soon approaching the Eastern Christian School community, school leadership wanted to remind parents about the travel restrictions from the restricted state list.

If a student travels to a restricted state they must follow the NJ travel guidance and quarantine for 14 days before they can return to school regardless of a negative test.

Families need to follow New Jersey Travel Restriction quarantine guidelines.

Below is in the State guidance we follow
If you are from an impacted state and get a diagnostic/virus test, you should still self-quarantine for 14 days. If you test negative, you are still advised to self-quarantine for 14 days because you remain in the incubation period. A diagnostic test is a point-in-time indicator from the date of when you were last exposed – in this case, being in a state with significant community spread of COVID-19.
